Autumn is here. 4.9.2012

I start my day at Finnå. When i arrived at 10.20am i noticed few flocks of Barnacle Gooses flying around.
My plan was to go to the bird-tower and have little watch from there but i took quite long time to get there because there was so much birds around!
Tree Pipits had nice move and many Gold Finches were in the trees along the road.
Most loudest birds were tits, of course.. Great and Blue Tits had some movement also and i was hoping to get some other species with them, but nothing this time..
I was very near the tower, when Red-throated Pipit flew over me and let out a familiar voice. Always nice to see here.
In the tower were actually super boring.. Only two Marsh Harriers, witch i checked very precise, because of the possible Eastern about week a go in Finland. Normal westerns this time... (again and always)
In the pond were few Common Pochards, 20 Tufted Ducks, 15 Mallards, 25 Teals, many Showelers and 2 Gadwalls.. So nothing special...

No Eastern Marsh Harrier..

On my way back to my car, i found one Sedge Warbler and one Reed Warbler so nice birds there also.

Sedge Warbler.

After Finnå i went to the Maari bird-tower. There was many people in the tower including few familiar faces.. On the meadow were huge flock of Lapwings, maybe 300 or more. Also Ruff and Dunlin were common.
I was hoping some raptors today but only Osprey, Hobby and Marsh Harrier showed up...
Also nothing special here so i left to the gym quite quickly..

Osprey and prey.

Lapwings, Canada Gooses and others.

Well, better day than yesterday..
Hope it´s getting better when real autumn comes. There was clear autumn signs today but it´s still coming.

Best.
